Quality policy

In 2003 HACCP system (in accordance with the Food Code) was introduced in Młyny Szczepanki. In 2005 the system was integrated with quality management system according to PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 norm. Both systems were certified in November 2005 by TÜV NORD Polska. Our quality management system is implemented at every stage of production including purchase of wheat, its storage, processing and distribution. Having been focused on the market needs, Młyny Szczepanki have adapted its quality management system and food safety system to PN-EN ISO 22000:2006 norm in 2007. In 2012 Młyny Szczepanki has implemented BRC ver.6 and IFS ver. 5 standards as well as FSSC- food security standard based on ISO 22000 norm and ISO/TS 22002-1 specification.  We have met all requirements of these standards during an audit, and we were granted a TUV NORD POLAND certificate.

Quality control of both wheat and flour is carried out in a modern laboratory, which includes also a laboratory bakery. There, the quality of flour is assessed through trial baking. Our technologist is checking the baking value of the product by its volume, appearance, internal structure, and finally by its taste and aroma. The laboratory allows to define the value and distinguishing factors of our flour. Thanks to this our products are of constantly high quality. Tests are conducted by our experienced staff, who is regularly improving their skills.
Quality control covers not only the product itself, but also all raw materials provided by individual farmers and by the farms belonging to our company.
